With a friend of mine going into politics, he commented that parties become separated from the views of the public too much.
So I came up with this idea where we could let the public give their voices a platform and they can give feedback to their MP/MSP. Simple idea and effectively a platform that can be built on and expanded.
The main system is my micro PHP Framework, the main task here was planning the database for maximum efficiency, starting with the Scottish parliament I expanded to Westminster and then the welsh assembly.
Both parliaments (and assembly) have all information listed for public consumption, so It’s just a case of harvesting and importing the relevant data. API’s and other third parties have done some of this so I made some use of it Again, only publicly available information was used, Some from the parties own websites.
